In order to mark July 30, World Day against Trafficking in Persons, the activists of the Human Rights Committee Vranje – SOS Helpline Vranje organized a street action of distributing educational and informative material. By organizing this action, we wanted to draw citizens' attention to the fact that millions of children and half a million women a year become victims of human trafficking, and that anyone can fall victim to human trafficking, especially uninformed people.

In order to mark the World Day against Trafficking in Persons on July 30, the activists of PAOR organized a street action in the center of the city of Zrenjanin, in the area between the Sloboda square and the plateau in front of the Bank of Vojvodina.

By organizing this action, the activists of PAOR wanted to inform the citizens of Zrenjanin and to draw their attention to the fact that millions of children and half a million women a year become victims of human trafficking, and that anyone can fall victim to human trafficking, especially uninformed people.

Seven activists took part in the event. Two of them were holding a banner with a message "Stop Human Trafficking", one of them was reading an informative text on the megaphone, while the other activists handed out promotional material informing citizens about the problem of human trafficking.

The street action lasted about an hour, during which hundreds of citizens passed by. Many of them stopped to talk to us about human trafficking, while some of them joined us in the march during the action.

In order to mark the World Day against Trafficking in Persons on July 30, the activists of the Center for Girls from Niš organized a street action in front of Kalča Business Center, in the area between Telenor shop and entrance to Tinkers alley, at 20:00.

By organizing this action, the activists of the Center for Girls wanted to draw citizens' attention to the fact that millions of children and half a million women a year become victims of human trafficking, and that anyone can fall victim to human trafficking, especially uninformed people. The street action lasted about an hour, during which 6 activists of the Center for Girls held a banner with a message: “Get Informed! Be on the alert! Don't allow yourself to become a victim of human trafficking! AT Network”, handing out, at the same time, promotional material informing citizens about the problem of human trafficking. Beside getting informed what human trafficking is, citizens also had the opportunity to find out in which cities the members of AT Network operate. The action was well noted by over 1,000 citizens. Several passers-by stopped to expressed their support and approval, and to take photos with us.

The activists and volunteers of the Center for Women's Rights in Vršac organized a street action to mark the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, and warned the citizens about the risks of human trafficking by distributing leaflets. The goal of the action was to raise public awareness about the problem of human trafficking and inform the citizens that everyone may help in solving this crime by become aware, informed and assured that such crime must not go unpunished.
